DIY Paper Flower Wrist Corsage

How many of you saw this post coming?

I've been trying to figure out a way to turn the paper flowers I made into wrist corsages. Like I had no idea how I was going to do it. I tried searching on Pinterest but all I could find was tutorials for real flower corsages. So I made my own. I'm really happy with how they turned out and they were actually super easy. Here's how I did it:

You Will Need:

-Paper Flowers. I used the ones I made for these centerpieces and I used three per flower.
-Pom Poms
-Greenery. I used the leftover greenery from the boutonnieres
-Fancy Elastic Ribbon
-Hot Glue

Instructions:

1) Glue the flowers to the pom pom in a kindof triangle way. Not sure if that makes sense. Hopefully the picture makes it clear

2) Glue the greenery to the back of the pom pom.

3) Cut the elastic to size so that it will fit on your wrist and hot glue it on the back of the greenery

You're done! It's really that easy! Let me know if you have any questions and leave me a comment letting me know what you think of them!

Currently (03-19-15)

Today marks two years of blogging for me! It seems really crazy that this blog has been a part of my life for that long. I love blogging and I'm really looking forward to what this next year has in store.

Now, here is what I am currently up to this week:

Loving... that last week is over. I had so many things due last week and it made for an extremely stressful week. This week has been full of wedding crafts and good quality time with Andrew and I am loving it!

Showing...off my cleaning skills at the apartment. Andrew and I did a big 1-hour clean yesterday and now the apartment is so sparkling it makes me really happy.

Shopping... for the final things for the gifts we are getting for our wedding party! I finally have all the gifts together and over half of them wrapped up! I'm getting more and more excited each day!

Making... the programs for the wedding ceremony! I'm printing them out as I type this and my maid of honour agreed to help me fold and glue hearts to them tomorrow night. I'm so excited!

Choosing... paint colours! Andrew found this cool corner shelf at the thrift store and agreed to paint it for me. I was deciding between blue, yellow and brown. In the end I went with brown and I'm super excited about how it turned out!

What are you currently up to this week?

Product Review-Relaxing Body Balm by Purpcycle

I was creeping my friend Melissa's instagram a few weeks ago, looking a some of the pictures from my recent bridal shower, when I noticed something different about her profile. She had TWO links. Instead of just the one for her blog, she also had one for her new Etsy store! I was so excited! I spent two days deciding what to get because I'm a really indecisive person and all of her products just looked so so awesome! I finally decided on the Relaxing Body Balm and I thought I would share with you, my readers why I think it is so awesome! But first, here is the description of the product:

"This balm is made with the simple ingredients of coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, and beeswax, with the addition of our relaxing essential oil blend. Our Relaxing Body Balm is soothing and calming, perfect as part of your night time routine or to soothe the skin. This is also a great choice for reducing tension and anxiety throughout your day."

When I got my package from Purpcycle in the mail I was SO excited. The packaging is super cute, it came in a purple envelope and the actual container was wrapped up in brown packaging and had the new purpcycle logo on it! Melissa even wrote me a note by hand, which I thought was super special and it totally made my day. Now onto the actually product.

I've been using it regularly for the past week and I really like it! I'm not really into lotions or things like this normally, usually the scent throws me off, but the scent of this is really subtle and calming. It's super moisturizing and I definitely feel a difference in my stress level after I use it. I've never tried essential oils before, so I was a little bit skeptical, but I really think it is helping me to relax. I usually use it right before bed, and I'm super excited to continue using it as part of my bedtime routine. I also used it while I was writing a paper last week, which helped calm me down when I got really stressed about writing 2000 words about British Columbia.

Overall, I would DEFINITELY buy this product again, and I'm super excited to try more of Purpcycle's products! You guys should totally check out her Etsy Store.

Tea of the Week-Peach Tranquility

Recently I went on a road trip two amazing friends from camp to visit another amazing friend from camp and her new baby boy! On our way back home we stopped at starbucks!

Now, I don't go to Starbucks very much. So whenever I do go several things happen:

1) It takes me FOREVER to figure out what I want.
2) I have to ask one of my friends for help.
3) I always forget to say the proper term for the cup sizes.

So when I got up to the counter and asked for  a medium tea I probably immediately turned a bright shade of red. Thankfully the cashier person was super nice and just said "What kind of tea?" Then I said, "Well, what kind do you have?" They then handed me a Menu of tea! A MENU! It was excellent! They let me take my time and make my decision. I finally decided on the Peach Tranquility tea and I was not disappointed. I'm rarely disappointed with peach flavoured teas but this one is especially delicious. It not only smells delicious, but it tastes equally amazing. It's ingredients include apple pieces, candied pineapple pieces, rosehip peels, and peach pieces. So the next day Andrew took me to the mall and I convinced him that we should stop in at teavana and get some of this tea for at home. Thankfully he went for it so now I can have it whenever I want. I got the last 50 grams of it the store had. I'm definitely going to go back and get more once I use up some of my tea collection (my shelf is FULL right now, which is a pretty good problem to have).

Anyways, if you are looking for something new to try at Starbucks (or Teavana) I would highly recommend Peach Tranquility.

What's your tea of the week?
