Thankfully (28-04-16)

This week I am thankful for:

-Birthday week
-Bike adventures with Andrew
-Time to knit with other ladies at church
-A husband who makes dinner when days are rough
-A new spring jacket
-Fruits and Veggies
-Tea Breaks
-Cookie scoops (makes balling the cookie dough SO much faster)
-Living close to trails
-Socks that are fresh off the needles to wear on my birthday

What are you thankful for this week?

Currently (27-04-16)

Knitting... I'm still working away at my sweater, I finished the body and now I am working on the first sleeve. The pattern is Briquette by Alicia Plummer. I love the pattern but I'm having a difficult time staying motivated to finish the sleeves.

I am also working on my April socks. I decided to go with a plain sock pattern with a contrasting toe, heel and cuff. I am using Knit Pick Felici in the colourway Countess. This yarn is so soft and I can't wait for these too be off my knitting needles and onto my feet.

I am also knitting swatches for my Master Knitting Course! I am so excited about this course, I'm hoping to blog all about it in the near future!

Spinning... Knit Picks Bare Roving. I have about 100 grams of singles, I'm hoping to spin up one more bobbin full of of single and then ply the two bobbins together. The goal of spinning enough yarn for a sweater is getting closer and closer!

Crocheting... I haven't made any progress on the squares for my sock yarn blanket, but I did start a lap afghan to donate.

Reading... I am reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Still just getting started but I am enjoying it so far.

Drinking... Water actually. I'm trying to take better care of myself, so my goal is to drink two full bottles of water a day.

Cooking... I made pulled pork in recent memory, it turned out pretty well (much better then the last time I made it when it was crunchy!)

What are you currently up to?
